The October Hideaway Report follows Andrew Harper's travels to the dynamic city of Hamburg and the nearby Baltic coast of Schleswig-Holstein, where we discovered two new luxury hotels to recommend. Read more about the new additions below.
Hamburg, Germany
The Westin Hamburg is a minimalist, rather futuristic 244-room hotel in the new landmark Elbphilharmonie building, with panoramic views of the harbor and city center, well-located in the atmospheric canal-laced Speicherstadt neighborhood.
Weissenhaus, Germany
The Weissenhaus Grand Village Resort, on the Baltic Coast, is an impeccably and stylishly restored aristocratic estate along the Baltic coast. The 62 rooms – almost none of which have sea views – are divided among the main château building and several pretty brick outbuildings, including the former gatehouse and dairy.
