Stylish new 37-room property housed within the upper floors of the city’s former post office, a neo-Gothic stone structure with two stone towers flanking a central gable. The public areas are exceptionally chic, with vintage lighting, earth tones and elegant furnishings. Opt for duplex Carriage rooms, which feature downstairs sitting areas, high ceilings, dark-green walls, oak parquet floors and well-appointed white-marble baths. Also recommended is The Loft suite. The Kitchen restaurant serves a buffet breakfast, light lunches and afternoon tea; The Cobbler is a charming cocktail bar that offers several excellent locally distilled gins, plus a satisfying tapas menu. No on-site option for dinner, but many fine options nearby. Note that the front door to the hotel is at the rear of the building.
