This tranquil property, the newest venture of famed hotelier Adrian Zecha, is set on a secluded 8-acre island in the Hau River (a branch of the Mekong) in the colorful city of Can Tho and is accessible by one of the property’s private speedboats. There are no vehicles on the island, so guests either walk or cycle around the resort, which comprises 60 accommodations, a series of elegant pavilions, a magnificent 100-foot swimming pool, landscaped grounds dotted with palms and banyan trees, and a huge lotus pond teeming with orange koi and flanked by decks furnished with comfortable lounge chairs. The peaceful lodgings, offering river, garden or lotus pond views, feature steeply pitched ceilings, outdoor terraces with daybeds and Zecha’s signature minimalist design style, which primarily employs natural wood and stone. The property also encompasses an airy, extremely well-equipped fitness center with yoga, Pilates and meditation studios; an extensive spa; and two restaurants, one serving contemporary Vietnamese food and the other, European-influenced Asian cuisine.

The rooms lack tubs and are not especially spacious (but then this is reflected in the more reasonable rate).
The resort organizes a variety of interesting excursions, including boat trips to an early-morning floating market, food tours, cycling expeditions into the delta and visits to a cacao farm and chocolate factory.
