This distinguished 197-room art deco landmark hotel is located in the fashionable Mayfair, near designer shops, auction houses, museums and art galleries. Historically, the hotel has served as an unofficial state guesthouse for visiting dignitaries. The rooms and suites combine Old World elegance with modern conveniences and come with comfortable seating areas and marble baths. The suites also have large living spaces with separate sitting rooms, original decorative fireplaces and cityscape or garden views, while some also offer butler service. Michelin-starred chef Matt Starling has departed the hotel, and in his stead Daniel Humm will be bringing Davies & Brook to the property in the summer of 2019. Other food and drink options include the glamorous Claridge’s Bar and, for afternoon tea, The Foyer, which features an impressive Dale Chihuly light sculpture suspended from the ceiling. Amenities include a well-equipped health and fitness center, a Sisley spa and an in-house McQueens floral shop.
