This renovated 65-room boutique hotel is owned by the fashion house of Ferragamo and redesigned by Florentine architect Michele Bönan. It boasts a vista that overlooks the Arno at the western end of the Ponte Vecchio. Sophisticated lodgings feature a stylish nautical theme, antique furnishings and original paintings. Many of the rooms also include canopied beds and seating areas. Some rooms are small, so request a Deluxe Double River View or Studio room with a balcony. The property also includes an extensive collection of 20th-century fine art by Picasso, Cocteau and renowned Italian artists. Overseen by chef Peter Brunel, the one-star Borgo San Jacopo restaurant serves excellent Tuscan cuisine. Also of note is the new lobby lounge-bar. Access to the full-service White Iris Beauty Spa and chic rooftop bar is available at sister Hotel Continentale, which is conveniently located nearby.
