Upon reopening last December, this elegant beachfront resort set along the white sands of Anse des Flamands in the northwestern corner of the island revealed a striking new design spearheaded by interior designer Jacques Granges. The property added a kids’ club, two restaurants and an open-facing garden. The 61 spacious guest rooms, suites and villas are housed in the whitewashed plantation-style Main House, in units directly on the beach and in less desirable bungalows set in the resort’s parklike grounds. While all accommodations feature private terraces, some also come with small kitchens and private infinity pools. Appealing public areas include a vaulted lobby and the indoor-outdoor La Case de l’Isle restaurant for locally inspired modern French cuisine. The property also offers a tennis court, a fitness center and a Guerlain garden spa.
