About 90 minutes outside Houston, this serene Spanish Colonial-style hotel on a 313-acre ranch estate sits on the outskirts of the rolling Texas Hill Country. Nine guest accommodations include rooms housed within four duplex Casitas and five grand Haciendas, each with 3,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space and private plunge pools. Casitas feature high ceilings, primarily neutral color palettes, wrought-iron king-size beds, sitting areas with writing desks and stone gas fireplaces, and kitchenettes. All accommodations have a dedicated golf cart, and in-room massages can be arranged. The excellent restaurant is backed by a 7,000-bottle wine cellar. Outdoor pursuits include horseback riding, clay-target shooting, fishing and tennis. Informal lessons on the basics of organic farming are offered. Additionally, many private golf courses are located nearby and available to guests. This property is the embodiment of rural serenity.
