This distinctive property is set on 2,000 private acres of stunning coastal land. The handsome main building reflects the heritage of the area’s redwood lumber history, with massive 30-inch planks used in the flooring of the impressive living-dining room. Adding to the atmosphere are high-beamed ceilings with carefully set lights, a 20-foot stone walk-in fireplace and a row of windows that look out to the Pacific. Three rooms on the inn’s upper level have access to a large sundeck and a seven-person hot tub; three spacious suites in the adjacent Redwood House offer the same distinctive décor, as well as full kitchens. Activities include ATV safaris along the coast and back into the redwood forest and hills overlooking the sea, plus horseback riding and spa treatments. The hotel does not permit children under the age of 14.
