This idyllic hideaway in an exquisite natural setting offers sublime coastal views from a rocky promontory. A crenellated watchtower once used as a lookout for pirates now houses 20 of the hotel’s 57 rooms as well as a lounge and a library. Pathways follow the contours of the terrain, the most impressive being the corniche-like walkways down to the outdoor pool and sea. Rooms and suites come with four-poster beds, separate sitting areas, balconies or terraces (some with small private Jacuzzis), and spacious, well-equipped baths. A casual poolside restaurant serves uncomplicated but delicious Neapolitan-inspired cuisine, and a more formal restaurant offers alfresco dining on a terrace overlooking a cove. Other amenities include a spa, a private beach, three indoor thermal pools, an outdoor saltwater swimming pool and a tennis court. The hotel is closed from mid-October to mid-April.
