Distinctive family-run hotel within an impressive crenellated structure with mud-brick walls on a remote sandy ridge, close to the village of Rohet. The nine guest suites combine traditional architecture and furnishings with modern amenities. Accommodations are exceptionally spacious (each a minimum of 1,700 square feet) and feature private terraces or courtyards, Jacuzzis or plunge pools, inlaid furniture, bright local textiles and fabrics, original paintings and ornate fireplaces. Refined Indian meals, accompanied at dinner by folk musicians, are served poolside. Activities include an equestrian program, culinary workshops, bird-watching and guided Jeep excursions to nearby villages. Closed from mid-May to mid-July.
