Set within 15 acres of landscaped grounds, this captivating plantation-style guesthouse is located on a lush hillside overlooking the coastline of the Samaná Peninsula. The hotel comprises six airy suites, plus striking public areas filled with antiques and a museum-quality art collection. One spacious corner suite held a four-poster king-size bed, an antique writing table and Louis XIV chairs; its cozy bath offered a rainfall shower and a separate soaking tub. The suite also featured French doors that opened onto a spacious private veranda. The hotel serves cocktails in a downstairs lounge and three-course dinners on a candlelit patio or a breezy veranda overlooking landscaped gardens. The property also has a charming library and a pretty saltwater pool, plus a beach club nearby that houses an outstanding seafood-oriented restaurant.
