Peaceful, family-run luxury tented camp on the periphery of Ranthambore National Park, three hours by car from Jaipur. The 12 hand-stitched white-canvas tents designed in a 1920s style are appointed with dark wood-and-leather Edwardian “campaign” furniture, sisal matting and hunting prints. Lodgings have private verandas and en suite stone baths with marble counters and walk-in showers. Western-style lunches and traditional Indian dinners, cooked using clay ovens, employ herbs and vegetables from the organic kitchen garden. Public areas are decorated with large black-and-white photographs of tigers and include the congenial Library Bar on the second story of the main lodge. Game drives available, plus a small spa. Closed June-September.
