This camp, known as the preeminent place to interact with African elephants, is set on a 450,000-acre private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Overlooking a lagoon and shaded by trees, six individually decorated, idiosyncratic accommodations are part tent, part cabin. Writing desks and lounge areas offer space for relaxation, and glass doors open onto decks with copper soaking tubs and plunge pools. The lodgings present exquisite views of the lagoon. Lavish contemporary public areas include a library with an adjoining communications center, a swimming pool and a gym. The property features exceptional cuisine. The surrounding area features prolific birdlife, and guests may walk with the camp’s trained herd of elephant.
