Set on Grenada’s largest and most popular beach, the 2-mile-long Grand Anse, this resort has an international, Asian-inspired contemporary style. The airy lobby overlooks what is purportedly the Caribbean’s longest infinity pool, flanked by numerous loungers and daybeds. The 43 sleek rooms have sliding glass doors opening to furnished terraces with sea views (avoid Garden View King rooms, which lack water views and privacy). Penthouse Level rooms on the third floor have the best aspect, with the least obstruction by the row of the resort’s one-story villas lining the beach. The fine Asiatique restaurant serves Japanese and Thai cuisine in a soaring dining room or on a pool-view patio, and the Grenadian Grill serves upscale local dishes. For nightcaps, the intimate Puro lounge has an impressive rum, whiskey and cognac selection. A beach club has clear-bottomed kayaks and other nonmotorized watersports, and the stylish spa has a heated pool, an ice room, a fitness room and a yoga studio. Expect very friendly and accommodating service throughout the resort.
